Old-Time Stews & Chowders

Traditional Core Sound chowders and stews prepared by local cooks are a special treat at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center's Core Sound Chow Down. And this year, NC Catch Chef Ambassador and James Beard Award winner Ricky Moore is one of the cooking contest judges! 

Savor stewed shrimp, seafood chowder, venison chili, stewed redheads and stewed oysters with homemade cornbread! Food will be served amidst the Christmas lights on the Museum grounds.
