Local Seafood Pop Up

Starting at 1 p.m. until the food runs out, chefs Brandon Bnice Shepard of Shepard Barbecue in Emerald Isle, N.C., and NC Catch Chef Ambassador Keith Rhodes of Catch Restaurant in Wilmington, N.C., offer the first taste of their future seafood shack collaboration. Join the chefs for a local seafood extravaganza for a good cause at Shepard Barbecue as they shuck and grill oysters from North Carolina waters. Expect shellfish from Ryan Bethea, James Hargrove and Phillip Lannan. 

Also savor crispy Soft shell crabs from Uncle Phil and deviled crab from Mattamuskeet. North Carolina fishers also supply local fish for a delicious take on fried seafood. 

Proceeds will benefit Charlotte chef Michael Bowling, owner of Hot Box: Next Level Kitchen. Your donation  helps with medical expenses associated with a kidney transplant Bowling needs.
