Carteret Catch Urges Folks to Eat Local Seafood

Recipe

The Carteret Catch program is working towards helping folks enjoy quality, local seafood on the Crystal Coast.

While more than 80 percent of our country’s seafood is imported, they say it’s important for consumers to shop and eat local.

The program connects commercial fishermen to provide fresh seafood to about 35 businesses in the area ranging from restaurants, wholesale dealers, to retail.

Other areas on the coast are also a part of programs like Carteret Catch including Brunswick County and the Outer Banks.
